IDI Students Visit to “Shenzhen Design Week 2019”

On April 20th, accompanied by vice-president of IDI Deng Yu, Chinese teachers Zhang Ting, Wang Qiuyao, Feng Yongcai and German teachers Marie-Céline Schäfer, Nina Pillen, Zhu Lei and Lutz Koebele-Lipp, the students of IDI visited the “SHENZHEN DESIGN WEEK2019”. This field trip was conducted to broaden the students’ horizons by viewing a variety of distinctive global designs.
Hosted by the Shenzhen government, the “SHENZHEN DESIGN WEEK” is an international and interdisciplinary platform mainly for design professionals.
The exhibition with the main theme “Design for Sustainability” was divided into several parts, such as “Design Exhibition of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area of 2019”, “Face to Face: Between Art and Design, Between France and China”, “Guest City Exhibition: Meet London Design”, “Shenzhen Global Design Awards ” and “Creative Cities Network Exhibition: Me and 1m³ of City”.
The exhibition covered products from the fields of industrial design, fashion design, interior design and so on, reflecting the diversity of the design discipline.
